The role
This is a learning placement for students and recent graduates. As a Web Development Intern at MMC, you help build and fix pages on Shopify and other client websites for D2C brands, B2B companies and educational institutes. A senior engineer reviews every change before it goes live and shows you how themes, speed and tracking work on a real store. The internship runs for 3 to 6 months, full-time. The stipend is subject to interview. If you already have experience, see the Shopify Developer role. The internship is open on-site in Indore or remote within India. Remote interns may occasionally be asked to visit our Indore office.

What you will own
- Build and edit page sections in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and in Shopify Liquid with a senior's help
- Fix layout and content issues on client sites, on a test copy first
- Check pages on phones, tablets and desktops before handover
- Run speed checks with PageSpeed Insights and log what you find
- Use Git for every change, with clear commit notes
- Write short notes on what you changed and why
You probably are
- A final or pre-final year student, or a fresh graduate, in computer science or any degree if you can show code
- Working HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- A GitHub profile or links to pages you built
- Careful: you test before you hand over
- Clear in written English
A bonus if you have
- A Shopify or WordPress site you built
- A JavaScript framework such as React
- Basic accessibility knowledge

Where you would work
On-site at our office in Vijayanagar, Indore, or remote from anywhere in India. Both options are open for this role. Remote hires may occasionally be asked to visit the Indore office.
How hiring works

- 02A structured interview. 30 to 45 minutes with the hiring manager. Every candidate for a role gets the same core questions, built from what the role needs.
- 03A practical task. Early-career roles: a live task of 60 to 90 minutes, at the office or on a video call. Mid and senior roles: a task of a few hours on a realistic brief, with no live client data.
- 04A final conversation. With the department head and a founder. We agree on-site or remote work, your joining date and terms here, and take references before any offer.
